Separate groups are held for individuals living with quadriplegia, those living with paraplegia, and family members\/caregivers so that meetings can focus on the unique needs and challenges of each. Group meetings are led by two facilitators: a mental health professional and a community member living with paralysis or caring for someone living with paralysis. These groups are led by a team of two facilitators: a mental health professional and a community member living with paralysis or caring for someone living with paralysis. While the support groups can provide psychoeducational information and support, they do not provide any type of clinical or therapeutic services, interventions or treatments nor do they provide diagnosis of any type of mental or physical condition. Please consult with your physician or other appropriate medical or mental health professional before making any changes to your medical or mental health care or routines based on discussions held in the support groups.
