Our primary goals are to foster involvement in the community, promote health and improve quality of life.<\/p>\n<p>Our information specialists are trained to help anyone \u2013 from newly paralyzed individuals and their family members, to persons who have lived with disabilities for quite some time \u2013 as they attempt to navigate their changing world and the services available to them. We pull from a wide array of information and expertise to devise personalized plans and approaches to getting individuals living with paralysis back into their communities and a place of well-being quickly.<\/p>\n<p>The breadth and depth of our knowledge and connections spans multiple languages, as well as everything from what to expect in rehab, to the best equipment exchange programs, to peer support networks.<\/p>\n<h3 id=\"additional-prc-resources\" class=\"push-top-double\">Additional NPRC Resources<\/h3>\n<p>The NPRC offers a constellation of services, communities, and programs, including:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.christopherreeve.org\/todays-care\/get-support\/grants-for-non-profits\/\">Quality of Life Grants Program<\/a> for non-profit programs and projects geared towards improving the quality of life for individuals with paralysis.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.christopherreeve.org\/todays-care\/get-support\/get-a-peer-mentor\/\">Peer &amp; Family Support Program<\/a>, which fosters peer-to-peer support, via trained and certified mentors.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"..\/get-involved\/advocate-for-change.html\">Advocacy\/Policy programs<\/a> designed to not only help individuals advocate for themselves, but also to advance important issues for the greater community of individuals with paralysis.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.christopherreeve.org\/todays-care\/get-support\/military-veterans-program-mvp\/\">Military &amp; Veterans Program<\/a> designed to support the unique needs of current service members and veterans, regardless of when they served or how their injury was obtained.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.christopherreeve.org\/todays-care\/living-with-paralysis\/free-resources-and-downloads\/paralysis-resource-guide\/\"><em>Paralysis Resource Guide<\/em><\/a> is a free 442-page book, a comprehensive, illustrated information tool for people affected by paralysis and for those who care for them. The guide is available in multiple languages, electronic formats and hard copy. All formats are free.
